My Story:
My name is Jazz Scott. I was born and raised in East Texas and currently reside in Benton, Arkansas.
From the moment I could handle a football, my passion has been to play in the NFL. When I was not engrossed in my studies, I dedicated every possible moment of my life to training for my big break. I excelled as a student, but never took my eyes off the ultimate prize. Throughout High School and College, I was described as one of the best college wide receivers to ever play football.
I piqued the interest of several NFL scouts following my winning seasons as a Reddie at Henderson State University and met with many one-on-one. I received calls from the Texans, Jaguars, Bills, & Rams after the draft, all inviting me to their camps.
Two serious injuries shattered my aspirations to play in the NFL. I was devastated, but not defeated. I graduated from Henderson State University with an MBA & BBA in Sports Administration. As with all things in my life, God redirected my path. Today, when I am not behind the fixed income desk, I split my time between Jacksonville, Texas, and my current residence. I am dedicated to my family in every way and spend a great deal of time mentoring young siblings, cousins, and other loved ones.
I also take great pride in serving my community as a baseball coach, youth advocate and counselor. I want to be an example to all that, no matter what happens in your life, there is always hope. You must never give up. Keep pushing, keep praying, keep persevering.
Failure is a choice. Never let a negative attitude talk you out of positive outcomes.
